FIRST
Every site has a story. Ours is a practice founded on the belief that good building begins by understanding the place, the climate and the people already there — and that the answer to a brief is discovered on site rather than imported from somewhere else.
Between the three of us we bring fifty years of architecture across South Africa, Germany, Mexico and Zambia, and ten of those spent on construction sites rather than behind a screen. It means the drawings we hand over can be built, and the budget we set out is the one you will pay.
We are innovative, thoughtful and responsive
— not because it reads well, but because those are the three things a client actually needs from an architect.

ENVIRONMENT DESIGN
Homes, workplaces, developments and public spaces — from the first
site walk to the final handover. Residential, commercial, hospitality and civic work, taken through
concept, development,
construction and close-out by the people who drew it.

LAND & PEOPLE
CONSULTANCY
Resettlement and livelihood
restoration for project affected
people, with heritage consultancy, project management and cost assessment alongside it. Work for mining and infrastructure clients in South Africa and Zambia, planned
in consultation and designed by
the same team that costs it.

DECIDES
Orientation, climate and slope are settled before style. A building that ignores its ground is expensive to live in.
PEOPLE BEFORE PLANS
Whether it is a family or a whole settlement, we listen before we propose, and we document what we heard.
MATERIALS THAT LAST
Specified for how they will look in ten years, sourced near the site, and detailed honestly at every junction.
SEEN THROUGH
We stay on site to the end. The drawings are ours, so the finish is ours to answer for.
